Helpful Pregnancy Tips

  • Relax!

            Relax!

                  Relax!

The more you relax, the less mental and physical stress you will encounter!

  • Herbs are your friend! Herbs can ease the annoying troubles of morning sickness, insomnia, heart burn, constipation, skin problems, and various other ailments during your pregnancy without the ikky side effects. Find out what herbs are right for you. Menawhile drink some Chamomile Tea... I love it! And it relaxes you when you're feeling a little on the edge!
  • If you have other children; perhaps now may be a good time to teach them how to do small household choirs... like making their beds, doing the dishes, sorting their laundry, fixing their own breakfast or lunch. Even the 4 year olds can do some of this.
  • If your spouse is busy alot; make an appointment with him to come rub your belly, back and feet. Have him talk to the baby and let him feel where the baby is lying inside. Afterall its his baby too!
  • Eat Icecream!!!!!!! Who doesnt feel good after eating icecream!
  • Exercise daily. Prenatal Pilates is wonderful! Keep the circulatory system runnin' smoothly!
  • Eat your veges. Many women dont eat enough vegetables during pregnancy and in return some health issues arise.
  • DRINK WATER! Gulp, gulp, gulp! Juices cannot replace water. In fact, juices can increase dehydration, due to the amount of sugar in the juice. Water can help decrease your chances of getting a vaginal infections, or having too many early pregnancy contractions, known as Braxton Hicks.
  • Write a birth plan. It is important for others to know what you want to happen during your birth. So write it down and give copies to your partner, doula, Midwife or Doctor, and keep an extra copy just in case you lose one.
  • Hire a doula. Births have far better outcomes with doulas present. The support of a Professional Labor Assistant (Doula) is a must!
  • If you are healthy, start considering the option of a HomeBirth. Its so much safer than the hospital and Cleaner too!
  • Love your baby. Talk to your baby. Let him/her know who you are, and what to look forward to when they enter the world.

Disclaimer: These are ONLY suggestions. Not Medical Dictation. Please review your options carefully with your Doctor or Midwife (if needed). Mother2Mother Inc. can not be held responsible for your failure to talk to your doctor.
